Herpes Zoster
Intro
This condition is also known as shingles. The varicella virus which causes chickenpox can become reactivated in the body to cause shingles.
Risk factors
One who has had Chickenpox in the past can become susceptible if he or she is immunocompromised.

Referral Patterns
Unilaterally along a dermatome of a thoracic vertebrae

S&S
- Pain
- Itching
- Tingling along a dermatome on one side of the body (the pain can occur before visual skin signs)
- Blisters or rash in the affected area that last for one day to two weeks
