Signs & Symptoms
If pregnancy is suspected the physical therapist should refer the patient to their physician for confirmation of pregnancy
The following tests may be administered for confirmation of pregnancy by the physician

- Nausea, emesis (vomiting)
- Early satiety (feeling of fullness)
- Bloating, and pyrosis (heartburn)
- Abdominal pain is a common complaint in pregnant female inpatients and outpatients

- Urinalysis (hCG)
- Blood tests
- Ultra sound
